Unabridged Audiobook
Wow…. That was annoying. That was a long story, and 2 books at that to end the way it did. I didn’t hate the story line but the end just kind of annoyed me. Whatever though….. that’s just my opinion.
I still love the characters from the first book and am excited for the sequels. This was not my fav but I still enjoyed it. The end just didn’t do it for me..:
The narration adds so much to this story. The emotion, humour, characters, etc are all immeasurably enhanced by the performance. The story itself is awesome in its own right though.
could not stop listening to this one. so good and the humor is spot on!
Thoroughly enjoyable. A fitting and more emotionally volatile sequel to Boyfriend Material. The author's writing style is very natural (I could do with a tenth of the expletives, but that's just me). The characters are filled out and real. There are LOL pages, purse your lips in emotional suspense moments and some truly serious subjects that the characters confront, and overcome, despite themselves and their very human frailties. I found myself wanting to meet Lucien ( and his mother) and Oliver. The narrator is superb!
The story was cute. I expected more from the love story.
Very enjoyable, many LOL moments. Other reviewers felt the ending not so good, but I couldn’t help be taken back to the conversation between Luc and his mum. She rather predicted how things might go. Narrator handled all the different characters very well.
I loved the book Boyfriend material. so just had to listen to Husband material this straight after. love everything so entertaining a true love story of ups and downs. Hope we get an update on how they get on with more of life's trials. The narrator is excellent too.
Not as good as the first book, but still enjoyable and funny. I really loved the narrator Joe Jameson - he made the book even better!
I don't think I've ever gotten to the end of an audiobook, or even book series and been so heavily invested in the characters and story that I genuinely had to spend an obscene amount of time to realise that it was all in fact fiction. I'm not usually a fan of Romance novels. But... at this point I think I may have been converted. If there isn't a third book after this, I'm genuinely worried for the British publishing industry. And on that note: if the third book is not narrated by this absolute god-send of a storyteller, then I shall in fact be hunting down the publishing company with a pitchfork.
Loved the love story and getting to learn a bit about the hearing impairment world as well as gay intercourse in general. The narrator was good but the main character sounded a little too whiny sometimes even when he wasn’t whining which I found a bit strange but overall ok.
That was f-ing beautiful im gona go die happy now byeeeee :,))) ps Alexis Hall I love you u luscious brilliant stranger and I will read anything you put out! <3
