Summary
After being dumped by his long-term boyfriend for being overweight, Henry Beckett decides to make some drastic changes. In a vain attempt at getting his boyfriend back, Henry does the most absurdly frightening thing he can think of.

He joins a gym.

Reed Henske is a personal trainer who isn't sure he'll ever be ready to date again. He's sick of guys who are only interested in the perfect body image, never seeing him for who he really is.

As Reed tortures Henry with things like diet and exercise, Henry enamors Reed with recipes and laughter. As the friendship lines start to blur, Henry is convinced there's no way Thor-like Reed could ever be interested in a guy like him.

Reed just has to convince Henry that life isn't about reaching your ideal bodyweight. It's about finding your perfect counterweight.

Contains mature themes.

This is the best combo of real life issues and funniest books at the same time. of course can you ever be let down by N. R. Walker?

This book dealt with some real life issues, in a sensible manner. Henry was often funny; sometimes hilarious. Henry showed us that many overweight people sometimes feel invisible. Reed, on the other hand, showed us that, often that because of his great body and good looks, people objectify him as if he were a piece of meat. I have promised myself to be even more sensitive to everybody, on both ends of the spectrum. The narration is outstanding, and the story rewarding & satisfying. I treasure, “The Weight of It All” above all other books I’ve enjoyed. And… I’ll treasure it for years to come. R Byrd

I have only twice before giving a five-star review if a book. this book was snarky and funny and will make you laugh out loud. the struggle of the character in the book is a real topic and it is approached with care and finesse and lots of funny moments. the narrator could not have been better! 100% recommend this book!

I don’t think I’ve ever laughed that much while listening to a book. Plus the love story and the self love of the main characters was excellent! Loved it! Also Joel Leslie’s narration was perfect.

So FUNNY! the highs and lows are so relatable, lots of people have been in the Fat situation before..I definitely have made that journey. All and every character were great. I love the No Filter ramblings and jokes. I was laughing and giggling to myself while listening.

This book is funny! It really plays up the self doubting funny persona very well with Henry the 35 year old recently dumped Australian. Pair it up with a slow to step but good natured personal trainer Reed and you got a very entertaining and relatable story.
