Unabridged Audiobook
I love this author and this book proves her genius mind. I love this book because I really clears up so much.
This book was not as powerful as the other ones in the series, but that makes sense as it is not a full new novel, it's backstory for Levana. That said, the backstory was very interesting and makes me excited to read Winter next. Narration by Rebecca Soler is always excellent.
I really have liked all the books in the series
****SPOILERS BELOW**** Fairest is the backstory of Queen Levana and what a backstory it is. It filled in from growing up in the royal family to planning the proposal to Prince Kai. While I was listening I kept thinking that maybe she could have been a good queen, but . . . then she is just crazy. Something in that child's head is just not right. I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt, but . . . then she is just crazy. Her older sister--the mother of Cress--is worse. Let's say that it is amazing that Cress is not pulling the wings off of butterflies as a hobby.
Adorei, primeiro audiobook e já estou apaixonada
Though this book shed light on the background that shaped Levana, the overly sexualized content was not to my taste. I loved the narration! Excellent job there for sure.
Meyer does an awesome job of portraying Levana prior to Cinder. I dreaded the softening of the tales villian but it was tempered with selfishness, cruelty and in true Levana fashion, betrayal. I absolutely love this series to the point of exuberance. A villian needed a tale worthy of her heinous crimes--and this story plunges the reader into feeling every desire, ache, burn and betrayal. A fantastic delve into the loneliness of Queen Levana. I can't wait for Winter.
