Summary
Chicago wizard Harry Dresden gets a taste of the dead life in this novel in the #1 New York Times bestselling series.

In his life, Harry’s been shot, stabbed, sliced, beaten, burned, crushed, and tortured. And after someone puts a bullet through his chest and leaves him to die in the waters of Lake Michigan, things really start going downhill.

Trapped between life and death, he learns that his friends are in serious trouble. Only by finding his murderer can he save his friends and move on—a feat which would be a lot easier if he had a body and access to his powers. Worse still are the malevolent shadows that roam Chicago, controlled by a dark entity that wants Harry to suffer even in death.

Now, the late Harry Dresden will have to pull off the ultimate trick without using any magic—or face an eternity as just another lost soul...

Wonderfully done job by Marsters. Yet again brings Dresden to life wherever you are!

For any Dresden junkie who gets her fix via audiobooks, *of course* you must listen to this second recording of Ghost Story that is read by the one and only James Marsters. Continuity, people. Star and stones, for cryin’ out loud! It’s a must have and it’s fabulous.

This is one of the weaker stories in the series. It doesn't flow as well, but still well worth the listen.Dresden Files are one of the best book series I've read. I've been making my way back through the series listening to the book while traveling around. Marsters is the best and does wonderfully bringing all the character to life.

I love that Jim Butcher stays true to all the characters He’s brought into our family.

Not as good as the previous books. A little depressing and A bit predictable. 2 more books have been written in this series. Would love to hear these, they sound intriguing and fun.

It’s a pretty good book, but it’s just so sad! This late in the series I’m too emotionally involved in the characters.
