Unabridged Audiobook
This was an amazing story. The descriptions of the weather, and the landscape, the feelings of the people - I was right there with all my senses on a high, living the story. What a way Ms Collins has with words, and the narrator was perfect. This story will long remain in my heart and mind
I stumbled across this novel and was intrigued by the blurbs references to the power of books. But I never would have guessed how utterly I'd enjoy this story, which is beautifully narrated by Carl Prekopp. - A treasure to be revisited over and over again!!
A hidden gem of a story about the power of memory. A harsh landscape and a beautiful forbidden love tore my heart out. Just beautiful.
The narration instantly drew me in. This is a fantastic audiobook, because the narration provides you with an interpretation of the characters that would have been very different from the one I’d have by reading the book myself. The ending feels rushed and so much out of place when considering the build up of the plot so far. Too many loose ends.
great book
A fascinating premise which was cleverly woven into this rather depressing tale. It is long and best not read when in a low mood.....
The story just got me and I could not stop listening to it.
Nice concept but far too many questions left unanswered and too many threads left open. The Narrator seemed to maintain a consistent unfeeling monotone. Not my favorite read by a long way. I have now read the hard copy and it does feel better than the audiobook.
Way too wordy but intriguing story kept me going
