Summary
The Wild Rose is a part of the sweeping, multi-generational saga that began with The Tea Rose and continued with The Winter Rose. It is London, 1914. World War I looms on the horizon, women are fighting for the right to vote, and explorers are pushing the limits of endurance in the most forbidding corners of the earth. Into this volatile time, Jennifer Donnelly places her vivid and memorable characters: Willa Alden, a passionate mountain climber who lost her leg while summiting Kilimanjaro with Seamus Finnegan, and who will never forgive him for saving her life; Seamus Finnegan, a polar explorer who tries to forget Willa as he marries a beautiful young schoolteacher back home in England; Max von Brandt, a handsome German sophisticate who courts high society women, but has a secret agenda in wartime London. Many other beloved characters from The Winter Rose continue their adventures in The Wild Rose as well. With myriad twists and turns, thrilling cliffhangers, and fabulous period detail and atmosphere, The Wild Rose provides a highly satisfying conclusion to an unforgettable trilogy.

I couldn’t finish this story . The two main characters had no redeeming qualities. I liked the first two books in this series, so this was a huge disappointment and I’m sorry I wasted my credit on this book.

I loved the first book in this series and even more so the second one, but this one was just too much. too much drama and martyrdom, and I didn't like any of the main characters: not Seamie, not Jenny, not Max, not Albie, not Gladys and definitely not Crazy Willa. (however at the end we understand Max's dilemmas and hardships and almost feel sorry for him). All of them are incredibly selfish. The "tortured-soul" back and forth and back and forth of Seamie and Willa for 25hrs just got really annoying and I couldn't wait to finish the book. And even though I still love the writer and the narrator and the rest of characters from previous books (only thing that kept me reading was the happenings of the other characters), I did not enjoy Seamie's and Willa's love story (I especially hated Willa's character)

Excellent series! Once you start the series you won't want to stop until it's done. I think there could be another book added to this series. The narrator is one of the best!

I was a bit worried at the beginning of this last in the series. It started off a bit slow but proved to be just as entertain gas the first two were. I'm sorry to see it end. The narrator is excellent as always. I've even searched for books narrated by her just because she is so good.
